Feeling Tired?

Hi Fam,

Hope everyone is having a raving 2024. 

We’re only a few days into it and it’s already proven to be an insane year with so much going on! 🤯 

As you can tell (because I know you can’t stop thinking about me 😂) I haven’t stopped by here as often as I “should”

☃️ This winter season has been extra cold and extra cozy here in Norway.

We had record-breaking temperatures in Oslo of -30C°—brrr!

So I’ve been doing a lot of Hyggeling lately.

Cuddling on my sofa, getting chocolate wasted on hot cocoa, and wrapping myself up in wool like I’m a gift under the Christmas tree.

Naturaly, my creative juices felt more like creative ice cubes this winter.

I was forced to hit the breaks.

Do I love it? Yes, absolutely.

It’s been marvelous.

Do I give a dam? Not one bit.

That’s actually what I like the most about winter.

It gives me permission to slow down and forces me to do so even when my inner hustler wants to rip the business world into pieces.

☀️ When I lived in Miami, it was always warm and sunny.

We only had two seasons there, warm summer and not-so-warm summer.

Every few years, if we were lucky, we would have a cold front pass through during the “winter” AKA not-so-warm summer.

That’s when we finally got to dust off the 37 sweaters in our closet.

But even then, these miraculous “cold fronts”...

…only lasted for a few days. 

So we had to wear several sweaters, jackets, and scarves throughout the day to make sure everyone saw us parade all 37 of them.

Most people I talk to in Norway imagine Miami as some sort of utopian paradise where the sun is always shining.
